Aims & Mission Statement

Education at Harrowby Church of England Infant School is firmly  based on Christian principles and values. Our key Christian Values were selected by the whole school community  in 2015 and together with our UNICEF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS AWARD as a RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL help us all work together to enable all children to thrive and succeed. Our major aim is for children to achieve the greatest possible success in their academic, personal, social, moral, physical and spiritual development. We encourage this by providing for the children a happy, safe and challenging environment, where excellence is our main goal.

Within their learning at Harrowby Infant School each child will:

  • gain knowledge and understanding of the basic skills associated with Literacy, Numeracy and Information Technology;
  • develop a wide range of basic skills throughout all areas of the curriculum;
  • learn how to communicate their ideas to others;
  • develop the skills associated with independent and creative thinking;
  • gain an awareness of the diverse society in which they live;
  • develop a set of personal, social, moral and spiritual values;
  • develop a sense of curiosity and excitement about the world;
  • become an independent learner.

OUR CHRISTIAN VALUES help us remember how we live together and work together in our lovely school along with our UNICEF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS

OUR UNICEF RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL AWARD HELPS US WORK AND PLAY TOGETHER
