The Year 2 Infant Festival at Lincoln Cathedral

It's almost the end of the academic year and it's an extra special time for the Year 2 children as not only will they be moving to a new class, they will also be moving to a new school! To celebrate this special time and to think more about this transition, the Year 2 children attended the Infant Festival at Lincoln Cathedral! We got to take part in lots of different activities such as a special tour of the cathedral where we learned about Saint Hugh and the history behind it all, singing where we sang hymns and learned about how some instruments work and construction where we built the structure of the cathedral using giant building blocks!

Science Week 2019

Here at Harrowby, we’re just mad about Science! Over the half term break, we challenged you to create a Science project to share with everyone during Science Week! We've also been very busy carrying out lots of different investigations and experiments... Take a look and see!

World Book Day 2019!

Happy World Book Day everyone! We all dressed up in our favourite book characters today and even got to walk the red carpet to show our costumes off! Every class had a different author to focus on today and the Hedgehog's looked at Julia Donaldson! We learned a little bit about her life and looked at some of her most popular books before creating a brand new character for her!!! This was a whole school competition and everyone did an amazing job so a huge well done to the winners! We also shared stories with other classes and made our very own bookmarks! A fun filled day and hopefully an inspiring one too!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Wow! What a wonderful but very busy term it's been! We've had so much festive fun over the past couple of weeks! We put on an amazing performance of Ned's Christmas Discovery for all of the parents - thank you so much to everyone that came to support us! We've been busy baking and decorating gingerbread men - they were delicious! We were also very lucky as Grantham College invited us to go and watch their special Christmas panto! It was very funny and we all got stuck into it! The last day of term was party day and we definitely did that! We played games like pass the parcel, musical bumps and musical Christmas statues! We also had a party food for lunch with the rest of the school! The afternoon was extra special as Santa came to see us!!! And those are just some of our highlights! Half term has come at the perfect time as we are all in need of some rest now... Have a very merry Christmas everyone and a happy new year - keep safe, keep warm and eat lots! :)
