UNICEF

We are all very pleased that we have been awarded the status of a Rights Respecting School (level 1.) The award stems from our school successfully embedding the Convention of the Rights of the Child (CRC) into the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to both empower our children to respect the rights and opportunities they have and to become responsible global citizens supporting the rights of children across the world.

In our endeavours to achieve this award our children have been learning about the rights of the child and the impact it has on their lives. Children and all staff have been making links to our learning, especially in RE, topic work and PSHE, and taking time to reflect on how we can help others. We have created charters to support positive choices and respect for others and also been fundraising to support children around the world. We now look forward to further embedding the Rights of the Child into all aspects of school life and working towards level 2 over the next two years. We'll keep all parents updated on our ongoing work.

We've All Got Rights

'We've all got rights' is a fantastic song and animation by children and staff from Crosby High School, a Unicef UK Rights Respecting School in Liverpool.
